Turnigy Graphene Panther 5000mAh, 4S, 75C

The Turnigy Graphene Panther 5000mAh 4S 75C LiPo battery is a mid-capacity pack built for performance and durability. I tested this pack to evaluate how it performs under continuous high-current loads and to see how its real-world output compares to other LiPo batteries in its class.

What Makes the Battery Unique

What sets this battery apart is its pack resistance. This is the first time I have seen a pack with resistance measurements listed. But the value listed, “Pack Resistance: 11mΩ“, seems high. Manufacturer specifications suggested unusually high or inconsistent resistance, but real-world measurements showed a much lower value. This lower resistance allows the battery to maintain more stable voltage under load and deliver power more efficiently.

Internal Resistance Test

Internal resistance (IR) affects how efficiently a battery delivers power. For this Turnigy Graphene Panther pack, the average internal resistance measured 1.86 mΩ per cell. With its 5000mAh capacity, that gives an actual C rating of 25.9C. This equals a maximum continuous current of about 129 amps. That’s far lower than the advertised 75C rating. Based on the measurements, the manufacturer’s listed 11mΩ pack resistance seems inaccurate and inconsistent across their published specs.

Dyno Performance Test

During my 105A load test, the Turnigy Graphene Panther pack delivered 4,346mAh of usable capacity. The average cell wattage during discharge was 360W. Overall, it maintained voltage relatively well under continuous load.

Practical Applications

This battery is well-suited for performance-focused RC setups, including speed run cars and EDF jets. It offers solid output for users looking for dependable power at a reasonable cost.

Final Thoughts

The Turnigy Graphene Panther 5000mAh 4S 75C LiPo pack provides consistent power under load with stable voltage delivery. While it doesn’t meet its advertised 75C rating, it remains a dependable option for RC users looking for steady, usable performance.
