RC Advanced Speed Run Calculator
What this calculator does
This calculator helps bring those pieces together so a builder can estimate whether a setup is realistic before making a pass. It is useful for ARRMA Limitless, Infraction, Felony, HoBao VTE, and other high-speed electric RC cars where gearing changes can quickly push the motor, ESC, or battery beyond a safe range. Enter your vehicle, motor, ESC, LiPo, gearing, tire size, and override values when needed. The result gives a planning estimate for speed, RPM, current demand, and setup risk. Example: before installing a larger pinion, compare the estimated speed increase with the extra battery and ESC load so you can decide whether the gearing change is worth testing.
In practical terms: It estimates practical RC speed-run performance while considering the setup limits that a simple Kv by voltage calculation ignores.
How to use it
Select a vehicle, motor, ESC, battery, gearing, and tire setup. Use advanced overrides only when your real build differs from the default catalog values.
Example calculation
Compare a conservative pinion to a larger pinion and look for the point where the speed gain is small but current and heat risk increase quickly.
