The Youme Power 4S 5200mAh 50C LiPo battery is a mid-range pack designed for general RC use. It offers decent build quality and competitive pricing but performs below expectations compared to higher-end LiPo options.
What Makes This Battery Unique

This pack is known for being one of the most popular inexpensive option on amazon. While affordable, it behaves differently than most LiPos, showing characteristics closer to lithium-ion cells during discharge.
Internal Resistance Test
The Youme Power pack recorded an average internal resistance of 6.39mΩ per cell. With a 5200mAh capacity, the calculated actual C rating came out to 13.7C. This gives a maximum continuous current of about 71A.

These results show that while the pack falls below its advertised 50C rating, it maintains weaker current handling for more casual use. The internal resistance is higher than other tested LiPos in the same class, which limits its ability to sustain heavy loads.
Dyno Performance Test
During my 105A load test, the Youme Power 4S 5200mAh 50C LiPo delivered only 428mAh of usable capacity. The pack produced an average cell wattage of 315W. It maintained voltage poorly as voltage dropped significantly and quickly.

These results indicate that the pack performs weaker than typical lithium polymer batteries. The overall performance trend was consistent with lower-grade LiPos. The pack maintained adequate output but lacked the voltage resilience seen in stronger chemistry cells, again behaving more like a lithium-ion battery under continuous load.
Practical Applications
The Youme Power 4S 5200mAh 50C is best suited for light bashing with low average current draws and also where maximizing power and performance is not required. It’s not intended for high-performance speed run cars or EDF jets, where higher discharge capability is required.
Final Thoughts
The Youme Power 4S 5200mAh 50C LiPo is an affordable, entry-level option that performs below its rated output. While usable for light RC setups, it struggles to match the consistency of more refined packs.
