The Gens Ace 5300mAh 4S 60C LiPo battery offers a hard-case design and EC5 connector, making it a durable option for demanding RC setups. This pack is part of Gens Ace’s “G-Tech” line, featuring a balance lead designed to work with the brand’s smart charger. While getting it shipped to Canada proved expensive, the goal of this test was to see how its real-world performance stacks up to its 60C rating.
What Makes It Unique

The Gens Ace battery stands out for its G-Tech balance connector system, which provides more detailed communication with compatible chargers. It’s also one of the few hard-case 4S packs that comes pre-equipped with an EC5 plug and this advanced balance tap. Though it’s priced higher than many comparable batteries, the question is whether its performance justifies the premium.
Internal Resistance Test
Internal resistance is one of the best indicators of a LiPo’s true capability. For this pack, the average internal resistance measured 2.53 mΩ per cell. With a 5300mAh capacity, that gives an actual C rating of 21.6C and a calculated maximum continuous current of 114 A. These numbers suggest that, while it doesn’t hit the advertised 60C, it should still handle moderate to high-current loads reliably

Load Performance
During the 105A load test, the Gens Ace delivered 4557mAh of usable capacity. The average power output was 340W. Voltage dropped sharply early in the test but stabilized after roughly 45 seconds, holding steady until thermal cutoff occurred near 60°C. Compared to the Azure Energy 5000mAh 120C battery, it delivered about 90% of the energy and average power, showing strong but not top-tier output for its class.

Practical Applications
This battery is suitable for mid- to high-demand RC vehicles such as race cars and boats that require steady power and dependable voltage retention. Its solid hard-case design adds protection during high-impact runs, making it a practical choice for hobbyists who value consistency over maximum peak performance.
Final Thoughts
The Gens Ace 5300mAh 4S 60C LiPo battery offers respectable results for its category. It falls short of its advertised C rating but performs consistently and runs cooler than some competitors. While the Azure Energy 5000mAh pack delivers slightly better output at a lower cost, the Gens Ace remains a dependable option for users prioritizing durability and build quality.
